My client is an accountancy practice with eight staff in their Ashford (Kent) office. They have many more offices throughout the region and are expanding, hence the need for a new Trainee Accountant / Bookkeeper.
 
This is a newly created position that will see you becoming an increasingly important part of the firm and as such, you will be given excellent training both in-house and with the ACCA.

The role will consist of approximately 60% bookkeeping and payroll, including preparation of VAT returns, End of Year payroll returns etc and 40% accounts and taxation work.  There may also be some audit work from time to time and being able to help take the odd telephone call from a client would be appreciated when it is busy.

My client is looking at a salary of around £15,000 to start with but this is dependant on experience and doesn’t include study support!

They offer annual leave of four weeks per annum plus bank holidays running from 1st April to 31st March and they have plenty of free parking available directly outside their office.
