We filled this vacancy today (9th March 2010).

This is a very unusual opportunity, working with an entrepreneur who has a number of businesses including property, construction and healthcare.

Your working week which can be managed over a flexible number of days/hours will be spent between these different businesses, allocating the necessary time for each.

One of the more recent businesses requires the implementation of systems and controls and others simply require the accounts being taken beyond that which the on-site bookkeeper can produce.

There may be some individual work for the owner/investor themselves however most of the accounting work will be for their businesses and not the private finances.

This role would suit someone who is able to work full time but who could benefit and be organised enough to work flexibly.

You will need to be a qualified accountant with experience of final accounts for a variety of businesses.

Rather than someone to just ‘do the numbers’ – they are looking for someone with intelligence, initiative and a genuine interest in the business they account for.

If you are looking for progression, this is something difficult to measure in this role. The businesses are doing very well and if you’re able to help them make more profit, then there’s even more chance of the role becoming larger and earnings increasing too.
