The Company: Our client is a hardware and software provider for many of the world’s largest and best known brands, operating in around 100 countries. The Role: This newly created post is best described in person however a summary is as follows: This is a data focussed role however you must have the ability to interpret all data and explain the commercial implications to finance and non-finance managers. You will be looking at the costs which are incurred by the customer from service ‘call outs’ to purchases of new software and the subsequent profit and loss on a customer by customer basis, liaising extensively with the client managers for each customer. You will have an inquisitive mind and a tactful approach. There must be an ability to identify charges that are currently not being applied, areas where there may be over-charging or mis-allocation of costs for some very large and complex customers. By putting in the review/audit processes, conducting a client by client review you will directly be able to identify the current profitability and potential for increased profits as a result of reviewing the current and historical charging of clients. Thereafter, your established processes will help ensure clarity and maximised profits moving forward. There will be the need to drive improvement and effectively communicate the implications of KPI’s, costing and charging processes and more. The accurate and genuine data is seen and used by customers in order that they understand how and why they are charged and can identify the value that this business brings to its customers. There are twelve staff in the finance team however you will be one of two in a niche unit. Data interrogation skills within SAP and Excel are essential. The Candidate: · Preferably educated to degree level and part qualified (or qualified) with the CIMA or ACA. · Evidence of high proficiency at Excel. · Prefer experience of SAP or a similar Finance package. · Experience of working with non finance personnel. · Experience of creating new processes and controls. · Experience of financial reconciliations. · Experience of financial analysis and trending. · Clear communicator to senior mgmt. · Target orientated. · Innovator of new processes/controls. · Can influence people outside own team. · Can identify value to the business.
